Matsuura UK has recently had a new temporary storage building from HR-Structures installed at its Coalville site near Leicester. The warehouse is specifically designed for storing millions of pounds worth of CNC machines delivered from Matsuura’s Japanese manufacturing plant prior to final preparation for sale in the UK.

Matsuura is a specialist manufacturer of CNC machines and 3D printers covering all industry sectors. They were the original developers of high speed machining that fundamentally changed global aerospace machining operations. In 1998 machine tools manufactured by Matsuura were used by NASA to reduce the weight of the Space Shuttle’s fuel tanks by an amazing four tons.

The building that houses these incredibly fast, accurate and expensive machines is 15m wide and 25m long with 5.3m high walls to the eaves. It is fully insulated with a white thermo roof system and 40mm sandwich panel walls in a bold blue colour (RAL 5010). Two personnel doors and a bespoke roller shutter door that’s 6m wide and 4.5m high are also RAL 5010 blue. With external guttering and down pipes, the warehouse provides the perfect temporary storage solution for its incredibly valuable contents.
